My Final collection...

I have now picked my Final 6 outfilts for my fashion show in june 2011, the inspiration of these designs came from the theme 'indian contemporary fashion,' which then lead me to think of my collection name which is 'ASHIANA spring/summer 2012'.  i have taken inspiration from the sari research and indian fashion designers inspiration and have come up with my final 6 indian contemporary outfits....

Outfit 1- sari style draped dress



Outfit 2- sari style short puffy dress



Outfit 3- Detailed Roushed long dress

Outfit 4- Roushed shrug with a basic fitted dress

Outfit 5- sleeveless jacket with a short bodice and pleated alibaba trousers

Outfit 6- Detailed halt neck top with alibaba trousers

Manish Malhotra...

               

  Manish Malhotra is a fashion designer who was born to a Punjabi family in 1965. The designer is a favourite among Bollywood stars and is known to have transformed actresses like Urmila Matondkar, Kajol, and Karishma Kapoor. While he gave Urmila a vivacious look for Rangeela, Kajol and Karishma Kapoor looked sleek and sophisticated.

He is the costume designer of numerous Bollywood flicks like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (1995), Rangeela (1995), Raja Hindustani (1997), and Mohabattein (2000). Malhotra who specialises in women’s wear designed clothes for Shahrukh Khan, famous celeberity in india...

  

               

Start to my new portfolio..

My concept board, i will be adding beading to the actual copy for my portfolio...

My colour board, i do feel that compared to my first portfolio this board is more Perice,in to the colour I'm using etc...

Asian Bridal wear/colour...

Now starting to look at a colour theme i had an idea of rouge so   i looked into bridal wear as part of my culture theme, the bridal wear is always a duel red so i have now got a colour theme and am going to do my final collection in different shades of red....

 

Duel red is really eye catching and beadwork stands out...

This is a darker shade of red which works really well i now feel that i have a good idea of what shades i want that will look outstanding on my final collection...

Rusholme visit...

i am now starting to look for my fabric as i have done some designs for an idea of what i need, im going to pick bold duel colours so it looks eye cathing on the cat walk red is one of the colours...

This is a sari fabric shop that has a variey of fabrics and designer saris...

it was difficult to take picz inside the shop so i quickeley took one of the window displays red and black is the colour in for december...

kyles jewellery is really glamorous that is adverted in the Asiana magazine, I'm fascinated by the styling of it makes the jewellery look bold and eye catching....

This is a head piece for Asian girls to wear on their wedding looks contemporary because of the sarwoski stones as well as traditional...

 

Henna Party!!!

As part of our fashion show we have to raise money, i organised a henna party to raise lots of money, we had samozas and indian sweets to sell and raised quite alot from it...

Henna Tattoos are really detailed and designed with the beautiful flower designs...



Indian Asiana wedding dresses...

These wedding dresses are from the current 2010 september asiana bridal magazine, i have just compared how different it has gone and what the wedding dresses look like today..



The indian version of the white wedding dress,all ruffled covered in swarovoski stones... contemporary with a slight exotic influence...



The red traditional wedding dress with gold heavy embroiderey, bold and beautiful...
